S.F. Stories

Welcome to the Strangely Familiar and Seriously Frivolous world of S.F. Stories.
If this site feels visually sparse, well... it is. And so are my stories. That's what happens when someone with aphantasia creates fiction. Lots of inner detail, but the characters are basically stick figures.

Kell Who?

Kell Willsen, of S.F. Stories, is direct, unsophisticated, literal, didactic, and emotional. She is also British (though only half-English) and therefore polite, kind, and fond of the absurd. Somewhat old-fashioned, even for an elder millennial, her influences come from many different times, places, and media.
Kell Willsen sees stories everywhere, and loves to connect disparate ideas. Ironically, this often results in her going off on apparent tangents.
Her work is suitable for all ages, though discretion is advised. Parents and/or guardians, be sure to check the content advisory link given at the start of each book. There are themes in some pieces that may disturb children who think deeply about stories. It would be wise to read ahead, so as to be ready for any questions that might come up.
They may not, of course. The stories Kell shares, in prose, poetry, music, or in games, are meant to be accessible on many levels. Enjoy them as pure entertainment, dissect them for their themes, or use them as jumping-off points for your own ideas... there is no “wrong” way to consume the work. Except perhaps physically. Kell Willsen will not be held responsible for indigestion in anyone who attempts to eat her work, especially in electronic form.

If the above made you laugh, I’m happy. If it made you decide to stay far away from this crazy person’s work, then I think you’re probably wise. If it made you curious to know me better, then check out the social media links below and/or sign up for the monthly newsletter. And if it made you want to show this page to someone else and say ‘what do you make of this?’ then I’m delighted. My goal... oops, this is supposed to be in third person. Sorry, let’s try that again...Kell Willsen’s goal is to start conversations between other people. Talk to each other, please. Talk – and listen – in good faith. It’s so much more effective than fighting, and usually more fun, too.
